Michele Waller

Michele is the Nuclear Safety Culture Manager at Callaway and serves as the STARS Management Council Representative. Prior to this, she was the Employee Concerns Program Manager from 2014 – 2022. In 2008, Michele joined Callaway as the Instructional Technologist in the Training Department, then proceeded to the position of Senior Training Supervisor. Before coming to Callaway, she worked in a variety of positions outside of nuclear, including Computer Programming, Insurance, Banking, High School Math Teacher, and managed the Training Department for the Department of Mental Health and Department of Revenue within Missouri. Michele has participated in a variety of Nuclear Safety Culture Assessments within and outside of STARS and USA Organizations as both lead and team member. She became a member of the National Association of Employee Concerns Professionals (NAECP) in 2014, became a Board Director in 2020, and is currently the Chair of the NAECP Board of Directors. In addition, she is a member of the INPO Nuclear Safety Culture working group. Michele holds a B.S.E. degree in Mathematics from Truman State University with a Lifetime Certificate to teach in the State of Missouri, as well as an MAED in Education from William Woods University. She enjoys lake time at LOZ, her work with NAECP, and has four Alaskan Malamutes that keep her busy.
