Shawn Kirven

Shawn is on loan to STARS from the Diablo Canyon Power Plant (Pacific Gas & Electric Company) where he has 15years of service. 

During his time at PG&E, he has held a variety of leadership roles in the Security & Emergency Services organization, most recently as the Director, Nuclear Security & Emergency Services. 

Shawn’s previous work experience includes Security leadership roles at Exelon Nuclear, the Wackenhut Corporation and American Protective Services. 

Shawn holds a BS in Management from National Louis University and an AA in Administration of Justice from the University of Akron. 

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching most sports, paddleboarding and hiking in and around his home on the central coast of California.
